Sorry for the silence!
Hey people,
Blah, I haven’t blogged in forever. Sorry!
Things have been crazy on my end: I had a lot of friends coming to the city to stay with me, then my apartment had a bit of a pest problem (living in Manhattan has much more in common with Girl Scout Camp than you might think), and school has actually been pretty busy. Plus, sometimes I feel like I all I do all day is respond to e-mails.
Anyway, I was really thrilled on Monday because I had the opportunity to teach two workshops at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association conference at Columbia University. I gave two lectures: one on how to become a freelance writer and one on how to get a book deal. And it was really fun! The students were so engaged and energetic and motivated (a few students had finished manuscripts that they were preparing to submit to literary agents!) and I was really impressed by them. Plus, it was so nice to be up at Columbia, because it’s a really beautiful campus and there are–ahem–extremely cute boys up there. Haha…
Anyway, that’s what’s new on my end!
xoxo,
Liz
